Supporting Children's Health, Happiness and Education
We here at Name Bubbles care passionately about children and even more so, about their health, happiness and education. We started Labeled for Good (formerly our GIVE program) in 2009 as a way to give back and have been doing so ever since. All year long, we partner with organizations that align with our same passion for giving back, raising awareness, and making children’s lives better all around. Whether it is through monetary donations, volunteerism, or product donations, we like to think that our small business can help make a big impact in children’s lives while empowering others to do the same.
Your purchase of our Allergy Labels helps fund Food Allergy & Research Education (F.A.R.E.) in their mission to improve the quality of life and health of individuals with food allergies, while providing them with hope through the promise of new treatments.
With the help of our consumers, we are proud to donate toys to Toys for Tots. Our employees look forward to our annual shopping spree and take great pride in picking out toys that will help spread joy to children during the holiday season.
Throughout the year, we donate our time, money, and products to a local organization, The Children's Museum at Saratoga. Their efforts offer high quality programs and learning opportunities for the families within the Saratoga community, one that we're proud to be a part of.
Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) is one of our Labeled for Good charities for 2015, and a cause near and dear to our Founder & CEO, Michelle Brandriss' heart. We were honored to work with them for our second year in a row, and are committed to supporting the organization in their mission to improve the quality of life and health of individuals with food allergies, while also providing them with hope through the promise of new treatments.
"We always strive to promote food allergy awareness throughout the year, and this year we were eager to up the ante by doing something really special throughout May, as it's Food Allergy Month! With the help of FARE, we have identified four Allergy Heroes, kids who are affected by food allergies, along with their families to help spread the word about food allergy awareness and education."
- Michelle Brandriss, Founder & CEO
Each week in May, one of our heroes was highlighted on the Name Bubbles Facebook page and had the opportunity to share their story. In addition, our customers were able to help us once again in our effort to raise awareness by simply Liking, Sharing, or Commenting on a special post each week. For each Like, Share, and Comment we received on that specific post, $1 was donated to FARE, up to $1,000 each week!
Name Bubbles was proud to partner with Food Allergy Research & Education (F.A.R.E.) as its 2014 non-profit partner for it's charitable program, Labeled for Good. “Our Allergy Alert Labels and Allergy Caution Labels hold a very special place in my heart,” says CEO and Founder of Name Bubbles, Michelle Brandriss. "We are extremely passionate and excited to support FARE. Their effort to increase awareness of food allergies is one that we admire and strive to accomplish as well."
Name Bubbles was able to donate 20% of all allergy product purchases to F.A.R.E., with a minimum donation of $10,000 for 2014.
Name Bubbles was pleased to announce Kids in Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.) as its 2013 non-profit partner for it's charitable program, Labeled for Good. “We upped the ante for 2013; we committed up to $25,000 dollars to K.I.D.S. through our sales of personalized clothing labels. We included three laundry safe label styles in the program; they are some of our most popular personalized name labels and $1 dollar of every purchase was donated to K.I.D.S.,” said Michelle Brandriss, Founder and CEO of Name Bubbles. Since its inception, K.I.D.S. has provided almost 1 billion dollars to help nearly 70 million children. With a network of nearly 2,000 local partner agencies located in all 50 states and an overhead of less than 3%, K.I.D.S. is able to effectively and efficiently deliver products directly to children when and where they need it.
Name Bubbles was proud to announce that with the help of our wonderful customers, had surpassed the $25,000 donation goal in 2013!
In 2012, Name Bubbles was proud to be a supporter of Reading Is Fundamental, the oldest literacy non-profit in the country dedicated to placing books in the hands of children that need them most. As a part of our Labeled for Good program, Name Bubbles made an initial monetary commitment of $10,000 dollars to RIF and was pleased to report that more than 3,000 orders of School-Themed Labels were purchased throughout the year in support of the partnership. "Many of our Country's most vulnerable children do not own a single book. RIF provides children with the excitement of choosing brand new books to keep as their own. This magical act, backed by a network of more than 400,000 volunteers who visit schools, homeless shelters, libraries and community centers, will help kids develop a passion for learning and use their imaginations at such a crucial time in life," said Michelle Brandriss, Founder and CEO of Name Bubbles.
Name Bubbles, along with their customers, donated to the program as an effort to raise awareness that reading intervention at an early age is essential to today’s youth. In addition to the monetary donation made by Name Bubbles to RIF’s literacy programs, numerous social media and marketing campaigns touched on the benefits of RIF’s extensive programs that support the under-served populations in the United States.
In 2010, Name Bubbles announced its partnership with Water For People, a non-profit organization that brings long-lasting water and sanitation solutions to 11 developing countries in Asia, Africa, South and Central America. In launching the bag-tag campaign, Name Bubbles made an initial $10,000 donation to Water For People and committed an additional $1.25 to the cause for every bag tag purchased in 2010. “Even though Name Bubbles is a small business, with the help of our customers and friends, many small acts of giving will assist Water For People in making a difference in the world,” said Michelle Brandriss, Founder and CEO of Name Bubbles.
In total, Name Bubbles raised $14,000 for Water for People in 2011 for a grand total of $24,000. The donation helped efforts to educate citizens/residents and transform people’s lives by improving health and economic productivity to end the cycle of poverty.
