Back-to-school for 2021 will be interesting in many households. Maybe not as challenging as 2020 was, but there will still be some unique hurdles to get over. Homeschooling and remote learning aren’t long gone; they’re pretty fresh in your kids’ minds, so they might not be as keen on in-person school as they would have been usually.
Are you ready to send them back for a full year of school? They're getting so much bigger and so independent. Which means you have a fine line to walk. You want them to know you trust them, to let them make some of their own decisions and learn responsibility. Yet you don't want them to make costly mistakes, lose things that are important to them, or have too much responsibility too soon. We have a solution that will help you get them ready for school and will solve some of those problems.
It finally feels like things are getting back to normal! The little ones will be going to school regularly, which means you need to prepare. It’s time to spend a small fortune on school supplies, new clothes, shoes, sports gear, and all the other accessories they’ll need. While few back-to-school checklists will include labels, you’ll see that we think they’re top-of-the-list important.
It feels like time has zipped by, and suddenly, you’re already thinking about preschool and how to get your little one ready for this big transition. And, in total honesty, you’re probably also up for a few good tips to get you through it, too.
Brace yourself - this is probably the most exciting time in your life. You’re expecting your first child, and you are filled with joy, expectations, dreams, plans, and, if we’re being honest, probably a few worries, too. All of that is completely normal, and everyone feels that way when they’re expecting their first bundle of joy. So hold onto those feelings because they’re almost as precious as that little baby itself
Summer break is such a magical time for children. Remember how you loved going to the beach, playing with your friends, sleeping in and not having to race through breakfast, and then long summer nights playing until the sunset. Your children will love all of those same things, and one day they’ll feel nostalgic thinking about their childhood.
Remember when you were a kid. Summer break was the best time ever! You looked forward to it from the minute you stepped back into the schoolroom in September. Your days were filled with fun and freedom and lots of time outside with friends. At least, that’s how it looks in your memories.
Whether your office is still in quarantine or you discovered that working from home is better for you, you’re about to face another summer break. That means the kids are home from school, and they certainly make some interesting “co-workers.” But, even for people who love their new WFH life, you have to admit having to wipe tushies, make snacks, and watch your little one do a somersault forty times when you’re trying to get work done is difficult.
Picking the right preschool for you and your child is a big decision. It’s not just about what’s closest. And the preschool you pick will probably not determine the trajectory of the rest of your child’s life. This is no doubt a time of anxiety for you and your child, but it should also be a time of joy and celebration.
Last year was a difficult one for all kids' camps as they struggled to navigate the best COVID procedures and keep everyone as safe as possible. This year more camp centers should be opening back up, and day camp will be a welcome treat for everyone in the family.
