FAQs
What are classroom labels typically used for?
They’re used for a lot! Classroom labels are the backbone of an organized learning space. Teachers use them to categorize shared supplies, student cubbies, learning stations, and storage bins. By labeling folders, shelves, and activity corners, you create a structured environment where students can easily find and, more importantly, return materials.
How do classroom labels help with classroom management?
Labels create clear, self-sustaining systems that reduce student confusion, repetitive questions, and messes from piling up. When every item has a designated home, cleanup becomes faster, transitions between lessons are smoother, and you can spend less time managing "stuff" and more time teaching. All of this combined makes for a more harmonious classroom!
Are classroom labels beneficial for preschool or early learners?
Absolutely, they’re essential! For younger students, labels act as vital visual cues that help them learn routines and recognize words. Labeling with both text and colors/icons helps build student independence in preschool and early elementary classrooms before they are even fully fluent readers. Labeling classrooms for early learners helps build confidence at a young age, which continues to develop and enrich their learning experience.
Do these labels stick to surfaces like plastic bins, desks, or metal carts?
Yes! Our classroom and teacher labels are made to stick to common surfaces, like plastic storage containers, laminated folders, binders, and metal furniture/ organizers. For an ultra-strong bond, simply apply the sticker to a clean, dry surface and press firmly to seal the edges. Allow the label to sit for 24 hours before getting wet or being cleaned. (Please note, our classroom labels are not for rubber or silicone surfaces.)
Will the labels hold up to daily classroom cleaning and sanitizing?
We know classrooms can be messy, and it’s always necessary to prevent the spread of germs. Our classroom stickers are 100% waterproof and durable enough to handle frequent handling and daily wipe-downs with disinfecting wipes or cleaners without peeling, fading, or blurring.
How many labels do I need for a full classroom setup?
This is all up to you, and how detailed you want your classroom set-up. As the labeling experts, we always suggest labeling everything!. Start with high-traffic areas such as supply cubbies, reading corners, and supply bins. Most teachers find that labeling these core areas first makes the biggest immediate impact on classroom flow and overall organization.
